Real ear measurement
Real-ear measurement (REM) is a diagnostic test used in audiology to verify the performance of a hearing aid in a person's ear. It involves using a probe microphone to measure the sound level inside the ear canal while the hearing aid is in use.
The purpose of REM is to:
